Homemade Cleaning Remedies
House cleaning in Auckland does not have to depend on heavy duty commercial cleaners to get a deep down clean. You can easily opt to use a versatile homemade cleaning remedy! Any professional cleaning service will tell you that homemade cleaning remedies can be very effective and of course less expensive.
There are a few things that most everyone has on hand. It is easy, affordable and environmentally friendly to use homemade cleaning remedies.
If you have baking soda, vinegar and some lemons you have everything you need to make multiple cleaning formulas. Of course some dishwashing liquid also is a great add in as well. You will need:
• Vinegar (white is best)
• Baking soda
• You can also use essential oil to add a scent that you will love
• A bucket
• An empty spray bottle
For the Bathroom:
Baking soda can be used as a scouring agent in the bathroom to remove soap scum. Make a solution of 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water (add essential oil if you like) and spray the mixture on hard to remove stains. Follow up by sprinkling on some baking soda. Let it sit for a few minutes, then gently scrub with a sponge.
You can use your vinegar and water spray on the mirrors, faucets and any other surfaces in the bathroom. For tough stains on porcelain in the bathroom cut a lemon in half and rub it on the stain. You can actually slice the lemon into circles and cover the stain with the lemon and leave it for about 30 minutes then follow up with the spray and the baking soda to get any stained porcelain sparkling clean.
Baking soda and the vinegar and water solution will clean up grout around your tiles nicely as well.
For the Kitchen:
You can use your vinegar and water spray on any surface in the kitchen to get it clean and streak free (you can also do the windows with it as well). You can use a slice of lemon to clean your microwave quickly and easily. Pop a slice or two of lemon in your microwave and hit the timer for 45 seconds (be careful when you pull out the lemon it will be hot). The lemon will get any odours out of the microwave and loosen any stuck on mess so that you will be able to wipe it clean.
Grab your bucket and fill it up with 3 parts water and one part vinegar and use it to mop up the floor! You can also add essential oils to any of these cleaning agents to get a great scent.
